Daniel Radcliffe and 'The Woman in Black'
Got any questions for Harry Potter Daniel Radcliffe? Let me know—I’m interviewing him on Friday for his new film, The Woman in Black, and I would be curious to hear what some of you would ask him.
Admittedly, I can’t ask him a lot of questions, but if you have a good question, leave it in the comments and I’ll see what I can do.
If you’re wondering, the film is...

Stay tuned tonight for photos and details on the pomp and circumstance at the 69th Golden Globe awards!
Ricky Gervais is somehow assured of making at least one Hollywood star cry themselves to sleep tonight.

Finished watching the first episode of Alcatraz tonight. Not a perfect debut, but I’m already hooked and very curious to see where J.J. is taking this one.
As long as it doesn’t turn into some lame procedural, I’ll be happy.

Last Friday, the Burroughes Building on Queen West packed in the media types, local celebrities, and business types for Media Profile’s big, annual holiday party, showing us all a great time with oh-so-sweet drinks and treats for the folks they do business with throughout the year.
Taking over the sixth floor–a space that sees a lot of parties and events throughout the year–the party had a DJ...

Netflix reviving ‘Arrested Development’ for U.S....
If you’re a Canadian Netlix user, there’s good news this week, but there’s also bad news.
The good news is that Netflix is bringing Arrested Development back for a fourth season with all the talent involved once again, including Jason Bateman and producer/narrator Ron Howard.
The bad news, at least for Canadians, is that the series will only appear on Netflix in the United...

Holiday Gift Guide 2011: Charities →
Once a year we celebrate the holiday season by sharing with family and friends, but this time of year is also an opportunity to reach out and share with the rest of our community by giving to charities and organizations that always need support.
As we have in the past, to launch The GATE’s annual Holiday Gift Guide series, I wanted to take time to suggest a few charities that you can support...

UPDATE 2: Still no official press release from the Academy, or 100% confirmation on this, but it’s looking pretty likely that Crystal will host the Oscars as originally thought.
UPDATE: False alarm, apparently, as the Academy has confirmed no host has been picked. Apparently Crystal was just joking.
Could not be happier that Billy Crystal is hosting the Oscars. He’s a fantastic, if safe,...

The legacy of Steve Jobs
The social media world, and the news at large, is sounding the death knell of Steve Jobs, Apple’s co-founder, greatest CEO, and one of the men who led Pixar in its early days, and it seems like it’s impossible to see what all of this will mean in a day, a week, or a year, but it is a sad day that made me feel at least somewhat introspective.
To say that there are few people like...

'Tower Heist' to hit video-on-demand three weeks... →
popculturebrain:
They must be targeting the 1% because though it’ll be available on VOD it’ll come at a cost of $60.
Exorbitant price aside, the theater chains are not going to be happy about this.
$60 to watch a movie on demand? Insane. Does it take an analyst to figure out this won’t sell? $30 maybe, but the problem is people still may not care enough aside from major releases. People...
